Access conditions
It is AAU's objective to have an effective access control system (ACS) based on electronic control of our access routes to physical facilities to achieve the highest possible security and flexibility for the benefit of AAU's daily users as well as the administration of the system.
Access Cards
Everyone must carry their access card (AAUcard) and be able to present it upon request. The access card should be worn visibly. The access card is personal and must not be transferred to third parties.
Everyone must complete a short online course before the access card is issued.
When employees, students, regular suppliers, etc., end their affiliation with AAU, their access cards are immediately deactivated for access to areas that are critical or contain sensitive information. Basic access is deactivated according to AAU's general closing/deletion policy.
If an access card is forgotten, the individual must contact the nearest Facility Support office to be issued a temporary access card.
Events outside normal opening hours
When receiving guests outside normal opening hours, one is responsible for accompanying their guests. When receiving guests in an access-controlled area, one is always responsible for accompanying their guests. Only individuals with a valid AAU-related purpose are considered guests at AAU.
If events are held at AAU outside normal opening hours, this must be reported in advance to the nearest Facility Support office, so Facility Support can inform the security guards about the event.
Employees may bring family members for short stays at AAU, such as picking up work-related PCs or reading materials for home use, etc.
The last person to leave an area or room must ensure that doors and windows are closed.
Special guidelines are developed for specific events.
Overnight stays on campus
Overnight stays at AAU locations are not permitted without prior approval from Campus Service.
