Rector: Diversity and inclusion important in new AAU strategy
On 8 March, Rector Per Michael Johansen took part in the UN Women Gender Diversity Roundtable. The theme of the meeting was diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and a key point in the discussions was that this effort is about more than gender. This is also applies to AAU, the Rector says.

Rector: Culture change and strong management focus needed to create equality in academia
On 11 February, Rector Per Michael Johansen took part in the conference 'A National Model for Gender Equality Across Higher Education' under the auspices of the Danish Society for Women in Science (DANWISE). Rectors from the Danish universities discussed how a set of national principles can pave the way for more diversity and a better gender balance in higher education institutions.

The Committee for Equality and Diversity was established by the Executive Management and is responsible for the strategic advancement of equality and diversity at Aalborg University: Its purpose is to create equal opportunities for all.
